After a 20-year career as an IT Consultant, I studied for a Masters in ‘Environmental and Energy Studies’ at the Centre for Alternative Technology. My thesis researched how effective the Eco-Schools sustainability programme was in tackling energy in schools. Since then I’ve worked with Nottingham Trent University to develop this into a business and formed School Energy Efficiency with James five years ago.

With 20 years in education, my passion is equipping young people to succeed: raising aspiration and enabling them to develop the attitudes, thinking and behaviour to be the best that they can be.
My experience in both the public and private sector enables me to relate to individual and organisational needs, balancing challenge with genuine support which allows people to achieve their potential.
For the past 10 years as an education consultant, I have inspired and motivated over 50,000 students in hundreds of schools all over the UK, leading successful work in specific areas including:

• – Enabling individuals to develop the attitudes, thinking, behaviour and core capabilities they need to recognise opportunities, realise their goals and ultimately succeed.
• – Developing enterprise and entrepreneurial capability within individuals and organizations.
• – Raising aspiration and expectations by creating a ‘can-do’ attitude and culture.
• – Developing understanding of learning by applying the science of the brain to improve effectiveness.
